GSAC honors Adcock, Williams in basketball honor roll
LaGrange, Ga. - The Great South Athletic Conference has released its basketball honor roll for the week ending Nov. 27. Piedmont's Beth Adcock and LaGrange's Leon Williams were honored.
Adcock is the second straight Piedmont womens player honored. The freshman guard led the Lady Lions (4-1) to a pair of wins at the Methodist College Turkey Shootout. In three games last week, Adcock averaged 10 points and five assists per game. She also pulled down 12 rebounds and had seven steals.
Williams, a sophomore forward, led LaGrange to a 2-1 record for the week. He averaged 13 points and four rebounds per game and had a career-high 21 points in an 80-79 win over Lynchburg. Williams hit 66 percent (16-for-24) of his shots from the floor.
The Great South Athletic Conference is an athletic affiliation of eight NCAA Division-III member institutions in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee.
