Huntingdon sweeps basketball honor roll
LaGrange, Ga. - The Great South Athletic Conference has released its basketball honor roll for the week ending Jan. 22. Huntingdon swept the honors with Tiffany Jordan named the women's player of the week and Justin Babian the men's player of the week. It is the second player of the week honor this season for Jordan and the second time Huntingdon has swept the weekly honor roll.
Jordan, a sophomore forward, had double-doubles in three games last week. She averaged 15.3 points and 13.7 rebounds per game in the three games. Jordan had 16 points and 16 rebounds against Piedmont. She added five assists, four steals and four blocks.
Babian helped lead the Hawks to two wins last week. He scored 18 points against Piedmont and 17 in a double-overtime win over Concordia. Babian had six rebounds in each game and hit 10-of-21 three-point attempts.
The Great South Athletic Conference is an athletic affiliation of eight NCAA Division-III member institutions in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee.
