Huntingdon sweeps basketball honor roll for second straight week
LaGrange, Ga. - The Great South Athletic Conference has released its basketball honor roll for the week ending Jan. 29. For the second straight week, Huntingdon swept the honors with Dusti Doss named the women's player of the week and Allen White the men's player of the week. It was the third time Huntingdon has swept the weekly honor roll.
Doss, a freshman center, helped the Lady Hawks to GSAC wins over LaGrange and Wesleyan last week. She recorded a double-double of 12 points and 15 rebounds against LaGrange. In the win over Wesleyan, Doss had eight points and three rebounds in only 13 minutes of playing time.
White, a senior guard, led Huntingdon to a GSAC win over LaGrange and a non-conference win over Pensacola Christian. He had a team season-high of 29 points against LaGrange and had 16 points against Pensacola Christian. White also pulled down 11 rebounds, while shooting 48 percent in the two games.
The Great South Athletic Conference is an athletic affiliation of eight NCAA Division-III member institutions in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee.
