Huntingdon's Jordan, Fisk's Patton take player of the week honors
LaGrange, Ga. - The Great South Athletic Conference has released its basketball honor roll for the week ending Feb. 5. Huntingdon's Tiffany Jordan won her third player of the week award, while Fisk's Marquis Patton was the men's player of the week.
Jordan, a sophomore forward, led the Lady Hawks to two wins last week. She had double-doubles in both games. Jordan had 18 points and 10 rebounds against LaGrange and 23 points and 13 rebounds against Toccoa Falls. She averages a team-leading 15.9 points and 10.1 rebounds per game.
Patton, a junior guard, helped the Bulldogs to a 2-1 record last week, including an upset win at Maryville. He averaged over 21 points and six rebounds per game. Patton had 24 points against Piedmont, hitting 9-of-13 from the floor and 6-of-7 at the free throw line.
