Men's basketball players of the week announced
The GSAC announced its men's basketball player of the week for the weeks ending Nov. 19 and Nov. 26. Huntingdon College's Cole Hairston and LaGrange College's Demetris Render were recognized for their play.
Hairston was the player of the week for the week ending Nov. 19. The senior forward scored 37 points in two games at the GSAC/USA South Challenge. In a loss to Greensboro, Hairston had 24 points and five rebounds.
Render was the player of the week for the week ending Nov. 26. The junior forward averaged 21.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game in three games. Render had a season-high 30 points and nine rebounds in a loss to Emory. He shot 60 percent from the floor.
