Piedmont's Baldwin named men's basketball player of the week
Piedmont junior forward Jake Baldwin is the GSAC Player of the Week for the week ending Dec.3.

Baldwin was named Most Valuable Player of the Roger Taylor Invitational hosted by N.C. Wesleyan after leading Piedmont College to the tournament title. He averaged 30.3 points and 9.0 rebounds over three games. He scored a career-high and tournament record 42 points in the Lions' semifinal victory over Wesley including 17-of-20 from the field. The Lions' lone loss was a 72-68 road loss at Southern Poly - ranked #12 in the NAIA Division-I polls. His two double-doubles upped his season total to four.
