Baldwin, Hairston share men's basketball player of the week honors
Piedmont's Jake Baldwin and Huntingdon's Cole Hairston will share GSAC Player of the Week honors for the week ending Jan. 14.

Baldwin, the GSAC's leading scorer and rebounder, averaged 21.6 points per game in leading the Lions to a 2-1 record last week. He 32 points and 13 rebounds in a win against Christopher Newport. In a loss to Methodist, he had 17 points and 18 rebounds. For the season, Baldwin is averaging 24.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.

Hairston scored 57 points in two games for the Hawks. He scored a season-high 35 points against Maryville and 22 points against Piedmont. In the Maryville game. Hairston scored his 1,000th career point. Hairston is fourth in the conference in scoring averaging 16.1 points and third in rebounding averaging 6.7 per game.
