Maryville's Mason named men's basketball player of the week
Maryville junior guard Bo Mason is the GSAC Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 7.

Mason helped lead the Fighting Scots to three wins for the week. He averaged over 19 points per game, had 12 assists and 10 rebounds. Mason hit 12-of-23 three-point attempts. He tied a school record of nine threep-pointers against Piedmont. Mason tied his season-high of 33 points also against Piedmont. He is averaging 14.6 points per game this, which is second on the team and fifth in the GSAC. He leads the GSAC with 40 three-pointers made and with a .917 free throw percentage.
