Wesleyan's Mitchell named women's player of the week
Wesleyan's Carisa Mitchell is the GSAC Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 18.

Mitchell, a junior guard, averaged 16 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in five games for the Pioneers. She helped Wesleyan snap a 67 game losing streak, the longest in the nation, against Fisk. Mitchell scored a career-high 32 points in the 54-51 win. She hit 18-of-23 free throws, had 14 rebounds and five steals.

Mitchell leads the GSAC and Wesleyan in scoring, averaging 16.5 points per game.
