Piedmont's Pyle named men's soccer player of the week
Sophomore goalkeeper Ben Pyle of Piedmont is the men's soccer player of the week for the week ending Oct. 14. In the Lions' only game of the week, Pyle had seven saves in a 3-1 win over Maryville. The win put Piedmont in a tie with Maryville for the GSAC lead. Pyle had five of his saves in the second half and kept Maryville scoreless in the second half.
