Maryville's McGroom named men's soccer player of the week
Junior defender Joe McGroom of Maryville is the men's soccer player of the week for the week ending Oct. 21. McGroom helped Maryville to two shutout victories last week, including a 1-0 win over regionally-ranked Transylvania. McGroom has played in all 15 games for the Fighting Scots and scored a goal. McGroom has helped Maryville allow a GSAC-best 15 goals in 15 games with seven shutouts.
