Piedmont's Baldwin takes first 2007-08 player of the week honors
Piedmont College's Jake Baldwin is the GSAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 18. The senior forward led the Lions to a 117-80 win over Rust College in their only game of the week.

Baldwin tied his own school record with 42 points. He shot 82 percent from the field, a school record, hitting 18-of-22 shots. Baldwin was a perfect 4-for-4 on 3-point shots. He had a game-high 13 rebounds, made both of his free throws, had four assists and had two blocks.

Baldwin was the GSAC Co-Player of the Year last season. He led the GSAC in scoring and rebounding, averaging 23.7 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.
