Maryville's Watson earns men's basketball player of the week honors
Maryville College's Eryk Watson is the GSAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 20. The freshman guard led the Fighting Scots to a 3-0 record last week.

Watson averaged 16.0 points and 4.3 rebounds in the three victories. He shot 55.6 percent from the floor and made 15-of-18 free throws. Watson had 22 points, his second highest total of the season, against Rust. He finished the week with 19 points in a GSAC win over LaGrange. Watson is second on the team in scoring this season, averaging 12.5 points per game.
