Piedmont's Sosebee named women's player of the week
Piedmont College's Nikki Sosebee is the GSAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 20. This is the second time this season Sosebee has earned the honor. The senior helped the Lady Lions remain unbeaten in GSAC play with a win over Huntingdon in their only game last week.

Sosebee had game-highs of 15 points and eight rebounds against Huntingdon. She was 5-for-9 from the floor, including a perfect 2-for-2 from 3-point range, and hit 3-of-4 free throws. She is third in the GSAC and leads the Lady Lions in scoring, averaging 12.5 points per game. Sosebee also leads Piedmont and is tied for fifth in the GSAC in rebounding, averaging, 7.9 rebounds per game.
