Maryville's Bowers earns men's basketball player of the week honors
Maryville College's Alex Bowers is the GSAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 20. The senior guard led the Fighting Scots past Huntingdon in their only game last week. It is the second time this season Bowers has earned Player of the Week honors.

Bowers had 17 points in the win over Huntingdon. He hit 6-of-10 from the floor, including three 3-pointers. Bowers had four assists, three steals and two rebounds. Bowers leads Maryville and is third in the GSAC in scoring, averaging 15.9 points per game. He is second in the GSAC in assists, averaging 3.89 per game.
