GSAC announces basketball championship tournament schedule
LAGRANGE, Ga. - The Great South Athletic Conference has announced the basketball championship tournament schedule. The tournament begins Tuesday, Feb. 26 with the women's first round games. The semifinals and finals will be hosted by Piedmont College on Friday, Feb. 29 and Saturday, March 1.
The schedule is as follows:
Women's First Round Games (Played at Higher Seed), Tuesday, Feb. 26
7 p.m. - #7 Wesleyan at #2 Agnes Scott
7 p.m. - #6 Spelman at #3 Maryville
7 p.m. CST - #5 LaGrange at #4 Huntingdon
#1 Piedmont has a bye.
Semifinals, Friday, Feb. 29
1 p.m. Women - Spelman/Maryville winner vs. Wesleyan/Agnes Scott winner
3 p.m. Men - #3 LaGrange vs. #2 Piedmont
5:30 p.m. Women - LaGrange/Huntingdon winner vs. Piedmont
7:30 p.m. Men - #4 Huntingdon vs. #1 Maryville
Finals, Saturday, March 1
2 p.m. Women's Championship
4 p.m. Men's Championship
