Women's basketball semifinals set after first round games
LAGRANGE, Ga. - The semifinals for the women's portion of the GSAC Championship Tournament at Piedmont College are set. Agnes Scott, Maryville and Huntingdon advanced after first-round wins Tuesday. Agnes Scott downed Wesleyan 74-14, Maryville beat Spelman 65-49 and Huntingdon edged LaGrange 79-77.
The tournament schedule is as follows:
Semifinals, Friday, Feb. 29
1 p.m. Women - # 3 Maryville (14-11) vs. #2 Agnes Scott (17-8)
3 p.m. Men - #3 LaGrange (6-18) vs. #2 Piedmont (13-12)
5:30 p.m. Women - #4 Huntingdon (15-11) vs. #1 Piedmont (22-3)
7:30 p.m. Men - #4 Huntingdon (9-16) vs. #1 Maryville (22-2)
Finals, Saturday, March 1
2 p.m. Women's Championship
4 p.m. Men's Championship
