GSAC basketball championship games set
DEMOREST, Ga. - It will be an all-Maryville vs. Piedmont in the GSAC Tournament championship games Saturday.
On the women's side, third-seeded Maryville downed second-seeded Agnes Scott 68-55. Top-seeded and tournament host Piedmont advanced with a 91-77 win over fourth-seeded Huntingdon. The championship game will be a rematch of last year's, won by Piedmont. Saturday's winner gets an automatic bid to the NCAA national tournament.
On the men's side, top-seeded Maryville advanced with an 84-65 win over fourth-seeded Huntingdon. Second-seeded and tournament host Piedmont edged third-seeded LaGrange 75-74 to move into the championship game. The Fighting Scots are going for their sixth GSAC championship in eight years. The Lions are trying for their first GSAC championship.

5:30 p.m. Women - #1 Piedmont 91, #4 Huntingdon 77
7:30 p.m. Men - #1 Maryville 84, #4 Huntingdon 65
Finals, Saturday, March 1
2 p.m. # Maryville (15-11) vs. #1 Piedmont (23-3)
4 p.m. #2 Piedmont (14-12) vs. #1 Maryville (23-2)
