Maryville's Williamson named men's basketball player of the week
Maryville College's Ben Williamson is the GSAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 3. The sophomore guard helped lead the Fighting Scots past Tennessee Wesleyan and GSAC foe Piedmont.

Williamson averaged 14 points per game for the week. He had 13 points against Tennessee Wesleyan, making 3-of-5 shots from 3-point range. In the win over Piedmont, Williamson scored all of his points off 3-pointers, making 5-of-7 treys in the game. For the season, he is averaging 8.9 points per game. Williamson leads the GSAC in 3-pointers made per game with 2.4.
