Allen, Holloway earn baseball player of the week awards
The GSAC announced the Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week awards for baseball for the week ending March 9. Sophomore shortstop Blake Allen of LaGrange is the Player of the Week. Huntingdon's Scott Holloway is the Pitcher of the Week.

Allen helped lead the Panthers to a 2-1 record last week. In the three games, he batted .600, going 6-for-10 at the plate. Allen scored six runs, had two RBIs, walked three times and had two stolen bases. He had an on-base percentage of .643 and did not commit an error at shortstop. In 14 games, Allen is batting .362.

Holloway picked up two wins in relief in the Hawks' doubleheader sweep of Birmingham Southern. The junior pitched a total of 5-1/3 innings without allowing a run. He struck out four and allowed only two hits. Holloway leads the Hawks with 22 innings pitched and seven appearances this season.
