Spelman sweeps softball player of the week awards
The GSAC announced the Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week awards for softball for the week ending March 9. Spellman swept the awards. LaToya Lee is the Pitcher of the Week. Freshman Arianna Crosby is the Player of the Week.

Lee, a junior, pitched a complete-game win over NCAA Division II member Clark-Atlanta. She allowed two runs, scattered six hits and struck out seven.

Crosby batted .625 for the week, going 5-for-8 at the plate. She had a home run, three RBIs, scored four runs and had four stolen bases.
