Lambert, Langley, Finch earn baseball player of the week awards
The GSAC announced the Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week awards for baseball for the week ending March 16. Senior outfielder Jason Lambert of Maryville and junior outfield Patrick Langley of LaGrange are the Co-Player of the Week. Maryville's Riley Finch is the Pitcher of the Week.

Lambert had three home runs in key situations for the Fighting Scots. He batted .421 with the three home runs, two doubles, had 12 RBIs and slugging percentage of 1.000. Lambert did not commit an error in the field.

Langley batted .700 in four games for the Panthers. He was 14-of-20 at the plate, scored 15 runs and had eight RBIs. Langley had an .850 slugging percentage and stole three bases, while not committing an error in the field.

Fitch went 2-0 with an 0.93 earned run average. He went 7-2/3 innings to get the win in a start against Shenandoah. Fitch picked up a win in relief against Thiel with two scoreless innings. For the week, he struck out six and opponents hit only .162 against him.
