GSAC announces baseball player of the week awards
The GSAC announced the Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week awards for baseball for the weeks ending April 6 and 13.

For the week ending April 6
Player of the Week- Seth Tucker, LaGrange - Tucker batted .533 in four games. He was 8-for-15 at the plate, that included a double and a home run. The senior outfielder drove in six runs and scored five runs. Tucker also was 4-for-4 in stolen bases and handled 12 chances in the field without an error.

Co-Pitchers of the Week- Eric Medlock, LaGrange; Brad Vest, Huntingdon - Medlock pitched a complete game in a 9-3 road win over 23rd-ranked N.C. Wesleyan. The junior did not allow an earned run, scattered nine hits, walked three and struck out two.

Vest helped Huntingdon complete a three-game sweep of GSAC rival Maryville. Vest pitched a complete game six-hitter in the series ending 10-0 win. Vest walked only one and struck out five.

For the week ending April 13
Player of the Week - Andrew Migetz, Piedmont - Migetz batted .579 in four games. He was 11-for-19 at the plate with two doubles. Migetz drove in six runs and scored four runs.

Pitcher of the Week - Scott Holloway, Huntingdon - Holloway picked up two saves and appeared in all three games in Huntingdong's GSAC series victory over LaGrange. He allowed his only two runs of the week in a three inning relief appearance, while striking out one. He also tossed 1-2/3 perfect innings of relief in Game 2 of the series, striking out one batter.
