The GSAC has announced the baseball player and pitcher of the week for the week ending March 22.

Junior outfielder Eric Heath of LaGrange College is the GSAC Player of the Week. Heath batted .550 in five games last week. He was 11-for-20 at the plate, with a double, five runs scored and eight RBIs. In the field, he had 10 putouts with an assist.

Freshman pitcher Alex Beebe of Piedmont College is the GSAC Pitcher of the Week. Beebe pitched six innings against Wisconsin-Platteville to get his first collegiate win. He allowed only one hit, carrying a no-hitter into the sixth inning. Beebe allowed two earned runs, walked four and tied a season-high with 10 strikeouts.
