The GSAC has announced the baseball player and pitcher of the week for the week ending April 19.

Senior first baseman Ben Peters of Maryville College is the GSAC Player of the Week for the third time this season. Peters batted .615 in four games, going 8-for-13 at the plate. He hit four home runs, scored six runs, had 10 RBIs. Peters finished the week with 20 total bases, a stolen base and did not commit an error. He leads the GSAC in home runs (11), slugging percentage (.738) and total bases (96).

Junior Spencer Shelton of Piedmont College and sophomore Trevor Tullock of LaGrange College are the GSAC Co-Pitchers of the Week. The pair had a pitcher's duel won by Piedmont 4-2. Both pitchers threw complete games. Shelton (5-2) scattered six hits, two runs, one earned run, walked two and struck out eight. Tullock (3-3) allowed six hits also, four runs, one earned run, walked five and struck out a career-high 10.
