The Great South Athletic Conference announced the  men's basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 17. LaGrange College junior forward Nic Whitfield is the Player of the Week for the second time this season..

Whitfield averaged 18.0 points and 7.0 rebounds for the Panthers in two games last week. He led the team in scoring in both games, including 19 points in a GSAC loss to Maryville. Whitfield leads the Panthers in scoring and rebounding, averaging 15.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.
