The Great South Athletic Conference announced the  men's basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 24. Maryville College senior Greg Hernandez is the Player of the Week for the third time this season.

Hernandez led the Fighting Scots to two wins last week. He posted double-doubles in both wins. Hernandez had 24 points and 20 rebounds in a overtime win against Transylvania. Against GSAC foe Huntingdon, he had 23 points and 14 rebounds. Hernandez is second in the GSAC in scoring, averaging 20.6 points per game.
