The Great South Athletic Conference has announced the women's basketball Player of the Week. Piedmont College sophomore forward Sada Wheeler is the player of the week for the week ending Jan. 17.

Wheeler led the Lady Lions to a 2-1 record last week. She averaged 13.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 5.3 blocks per game. Wheeler finished her week with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 9 blocks in a GSAC win over Huntingdon. She had a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds in a win over Covenant.
