The Great South Athletic Conference has announced the women's basketball Player of the Week. Piedmont College sophomore forward Sada Wheeler is the Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 24. This is the second straight week Wheeler has earned the honor.

Wheeler led the Lady Lions to a 2-1 record last week. She averaged 17.3 points and 13.3 rebounds per game. Wheeler recorded two double-doubles, including a 21 point, 18 rebound and six blocks in a win over Rust.
